- Heat output: Closed combustion fireplaces offer at least twice the heat output of an open fireplace. Heat output is enhanced with an exposed flue, which radiates substantial heat. As much as 80% of the heat in an open fireplace is lost up the chimney.
- Efficiency: Closed combustion fireplaces use 1/3 of the wood used by an open fireplace. Controlling the amount of air that enters the fireplace enables the wood to burn longer, reducing you heating costs.
- Safety: Most closed combustion fireplaces have a large glass door, which gives an optimal view of the fire while containing sparks and smoke.
- Cleaning: A quality closed combustion fireplace with secondary combustion will require emptying far less often.
- Environment: A secondary combustion system creates a clean burn. The result is fewer harmfull pollutants released into the environment.
- Convenience: These fireplaces are easy to install, quick to light and simple to clean.
